Site Story allows you to capture video "drive-throughs" of your job sites, which can be shared with clients and used for compliance purposes.

Traffio integrates with Site Story, enabling you to easily access these videos—referred to as Stories or Booking Stories—directly within the Traffio interface. You can categorise them using tags and mark them as complete or reviewed for better tracking and organisation.

Before setting up the integration, you’ll need an active Site Story account.

To get started, please visit the Site Story website and register an account.

Starting the Integration

Create a Third Party

  1. Navigate to Integrations on the sidebar

  2. Select the Third Parties tab

  3. Click the New button in the top-right of the screen to create a new 'Personal' third party.

  4. Enter a Name for your third party such as 'Site Story'. Enter your name and email address into the Contact Name and Contact Email fields respectively. An access token will be sent to this email address so be sure to make sure you enter the email address accurately.

  5. ⚠️ It's important that you toggle on the following permissions for the integration to work correctly:

    • Person Read Access

    • Booking Read Access

    • Project Read Access

    • Booking Story Read Access

    • Booking Story Write Access

    • Depot Read Access

    • Client Read Access

    • Client Contact Read Access

    • Tag Read Access

  6. Click Create.

Generate an Access Token

  1. Click on the Access Tokens tab of the third party record you created using the instructions above.

  2. Click the +New button in the top-right of the screen and you will be prompted for a Reason for Issuance. Type a reason that will help you remember why you issued the access token later - eg: "Initial access token for Site Story integration".

  3. Click the Create and you'll be prompted to provide confirmation that you are about to send an access token to the email address you provided earlier. Click Continue to send the token.

  4. Within a few minutes, you will receive an email at the address you entered previously which will permit you to generate an access token. Click the View Token link in the email.

  5. The link will take you to a website which allows you to generate an access token by clicking the blue Generate Token button. Copy the token.

  6. Log into your Site Story app and paste the token into the area shown below. See the Site Story help guide for further details.

  7. The integration setup between Traffio and SiteStory is now complete.

Revoking an Access Token

If at any point you wish to revoke Site Story’s access to your Traffio data, you can do so by returning to the Access Tokens screen:

Integrations > Third Parties > Site Story > Access Tokens, then click the Revoke button next to any active token.

How to Use Site Story Integration

Once Site Story has confirmed that they’ve connected to your Traffio, you’ll begin to see 'drive-through' video records—known as Stories—within the Traffio interface.

To view these Stories, navigate to the relevant booking and click on the Stories tab.

This section will display only the Stories associated with that specific booking, making it easy to review and manage site footage.

Alternatively, you can go to Bookings > Booking Stories to view a complete list of all Stories across your bookings, rather than just those tied to a single job.

How to Categorise Stories

Each Story in Traffio can be assigned multiple tags, allowing you to group similar Stories together and keep your records organised for easier filtering and reference.

You can find these Stories later using the Tag filter in the filter bar.

Similarly, you can mark a Story as completed or reviewed by toggling the Closed option on the Story. Once a Story is marked as closed, it will no longer appear in the results screen by default. To view closed Stories, you’ll need to specifically enable that filter using the filter bar.

When used alongside tags, this functionality enables you to build powerful workflows for reviewing job sites, tracking progress, and maintaining compliance with ease.
