Setting Up Definitiv Integration

Navigate to Integrations on the sidebar

Select the Connections tab

Click +New

Select Definitiv from the integration dropdown list

Enter Connection Name

Click Create

Enter the Definitiv instance URL and API key (provided by Definitiv)

Click Save (this will automatically try to establish connection with the provided credentials)

Choose a Definitiv Organisation

Click Save

Click the Sync with Definitiv button (to import payroll data)

Navigate to Integrations on the sidebar

Select the Connections tab

Click open an existing Definitiv connection

Select the desired tab (employees, roles, depots, pay items, site allowance rates)

Match the those listed on the left-hand side (from the Traffio system) with those on the right-hand side (e.g. Traffio person -> Definitiv employee)

Click Save

When maping Traffio's payable hours to Definitiv Pay Items, please note that different mappings can be created for every Payroll Category and EBA entered into Traffio.

Navigate to Payroll on the sidebar

Select the Payroll Cost Centre tab across the top

Either open an existing cost centre, or click +New to create another

Choose Definitiv from the Integration Dropdown

Choose your Connection

Choose a Definitiv Project (this is the equivalent to a Traffio Payroll Cost Centre)

Click Save

Navigate to Payroll on the sidebar

Select the Pay run tab

Click +New

Choose the Definitiv payroll cost centre.

Click Push to Definitiv button for the entire pay run.

Or choose a person to push individual payroll data.
​

Once this integration is connected, Traffio handles all external payroll transactions in Definitiv for you — make any changes in Traffio and re-push the pay run, and it will reconcile everything in Definitiv. Already-processed transactions are always left untouched.
