You can set specific Meal Allowance Rules for each Client.

These rules can be set when creating a new contact or by editing an existing client.

When Creating a New Client

  1. Navigate to Clients on the sidebar

  2. Select +New

  3. Select Payroll Break Override if need

  4. Enter Enforced Break Length & Enforced Break After

  5. Click Create

Edit Client Meal Allowance Rules

1. Navigate to Clients on the sidebar

2. Choose the desired Client

3. Scroll down to the Meal Allowance Options and change as needed

4. Click Save

Client payroll break override

The 'Payroll break override' dropdown menu has three options

  1. No override

  2. Remove all breaks from payroll

  3. Enforce a fixed break for payroll

Only when [3] Enforce a fixed break for payroll is selected, the following settings will be used:

  • Enforced break length (in hours)

  • Enforced break after (hours)

The amount you enter into 'Enforced break length' will be the break (in hours) that is entered into all worker shifts with bookings from this client that have a shift equal to or longer than the amount entered into the 'Enforced break after' field.

Note: If a worker has submitted a break longer than the amount entered into 'Enforced break length', and the shift meets the 'Enforced break after' hours condition, this override setting will still take precedence and override the break to the amount in the 'Enforced break length' field.

E.g. Enforced break length is 1 hour, and a break is enforced after 6 hours.

Worker submits a break of 1.5 hours for 7 hour shift.

The break will be overridden to 1 hour as per the enforced break length setting.
