Planning & Planning Requests

This article goes over the functionality of works requests section within works

The planning requests section is designed for companies seeking a simple interface for their site engineers to input potential booking scopes of work. When creating a new works request, you can specify the shift type, potential start and end dates, work environment, description of works, and the location.

Works requests can be assigned one of the following statuses:

Pending, Request, Rejected, Accepted, or Cancelled.


How to Create Traffic Management Types

  1. Navigate to Planning on the sidebar

  2. Select Traffic Management Requests tab

  3. Click +New

  4. Enter Name, Colour and Icon

  5. Click Create


How to Create Planning Request

  1. Navigate to Planning on the sidebar

  2. Select the Planning Requests tab

  3. Click +New

  4. Select Client, Project and Requester

  5. Enter Works Location, Scope, Start and End Date

  6. Select Shift Type

  7. Click Create


How to Create a Worksite Plan from Planning Request

Once a Traffic Management Request is accepted, you can use the provided details to create a Worksite plan.

  1. Navigate to Planning on the sidebar

  2. Select the Planning Requests Tab

  3. Click the desired Planning Request

  4. Scroll down in the overview to the Planning section

  5. Click +New

  6. Click the + button beside the Works drop-down menu

  7. Click Create (check all details are correct)

  8. Select a Planning Revision

  9. Click Create

The work plan will now be created in an draft status, ready for the addition of the necessary plans and permits.


Creating Bookings from Planning

The Client, Projects, Start time, and End time details within the Planning Request can be directly used to create a booking.

  1. Navigate to Planning on the sidebar

  2. Select Planning tab

  3. Click the +Job next to the desired Planning Request

  4. Confirm the Booking Details

  5. Select the Booking Requirements

  6. Click Create


Attaching Plans and Permits to Planning

  1. Navigate to Planning on the sidebar

  2. Select the Planning tab

  3. Select desired Planning

  4. Select the Works Revision

  5. Scroll down to Location

  6. Select +New on Required Plans or Required Permits

  7. Select Type

  8. Click Create

  9. Attach Plan


Create a New Revision of Planning

  1. Navigate to Planning on the sidebar

  2. Select the Planning tab

  3. Select desired Planning

  4. Click the Revision tab

  5. Click Current Revision

  6. Select New Revision

  7. Make any required changes to the revision

  8. Click Activate

  9. Click Save
