Booking Rejection Reasons

Information about the 'Booking Rejection Reasons' feature.

When a field-worker (or office-user on behalf of the field-worker) rejects a shift, you may want to know the reason behind that decision. This feature allows that, and is turned on by default.


Creating 'Booking Rejection Reasons'

Before you start, you'll need to create some 'Booking Rejection Reasons'.

These will then be made available to select from when a booking is declined.

  1. Navigate to the My Company > Rejection Reasons screen.

  2. In the table-view, click the '+New' button.

  3. In the detail-view that opens up, you can do the following:

    1. Enter a description for the Booking Rejection Reason.

    2. Toggle on/off the option that allows the person rejecting the booking to supply extra information about their decision.

    3. Save when ready.

Please note: Once created, the description of a 'Booking Rejection Reason' cannot be changed. However, it can be deleted.


Using 'Booking Rejection Reasons'

In the Web App:

  1. In the booking tile of the relevant booking, click the person you wish to decline the booking for.

  2. In the popup, you can either click the Refuse button, or click the Change button.

    1. If you clicked the Change button, in the detail-view that opens, click the Reject button

  3. In the popup that displays, select a Booking Rejection Reason from the dropdown, and if toggled on for the selected reason, you can supply additional information.

  4. Once done, click Submit to decline the booking.

In the Mobile App:

  1. From the Jobs tab, press on the booking availability request you wish to 'decline'.

  2. In the booking detail view, press on the Decline button.

  3. In the screen that shows, select a Booking Rejection Reason from the dropdown, and if toggled on for the selected reason, you can supply additional information.

  4. Once done, click the Submit to office button to decline the booking.


Additional Information

  • To toggle on/off this feature, navigate to the Admin > Traffio Config screen within the web app, and locate the Booking rejection reason config which is located under the 'Booking' category.

  • If a person changes their mind about rejecting the booking, and is 'Cleared' or 'Confirmed', the recorded Booking Rejection Reason will be removed from that person's record for that booking.

  • If no Booking Rejection Reasons have been created, the popup to select a rejection reason will not show, and the booking will be declined as per normal. This is regardless of whether this feature is turned on or off.
