After a field worker submits a leave request via the app, it is sent to the leave section in the Traffio Web Portal for approval or rejection. Only staff members with the "Leave approval access" permission can approve or reject these requests.

Workers can only submit leave requests if this feature is enabled in your Traffio configurations. Read more here

Leave-related permissions can be managed in the Access Levels tab within Admin. To use this feature, the appropriate permission toggles must be activated, which can be done by users with Administrator or Manager access.

How to approve or reject leave requests

When leave requests are submitted, users with the "Leave approval access" permission will receive a notification badge on the People menu in the web app. Hovering over the badge will display a link to "Pending leave requests."

  1. Hover over People on the sidebar

  2. Select the Pending Leave Requests notification (Clicking this will open Leave tab with the Status: Awaiting approval filter pre-selected)

  3. Open leave request

  4. Approve or Reject the request (You're able to provide a reason for your decision here - the field worker will be able to see this reason from their app)

  5. Click Save

A push notification is sent to the worker when their leave request is approved or rejected
