Overview
As of Tuesday, September 1, 2026, connecting a Company File (also now known as a "ledger") to your Traffio account for the purpose of invoicing and/or payroll will require you to authorise a new set of permissions required by Traffio for the integration to work correctly. To approve these new permissions, you will also require an MYOB "Administrator" role to initially connect to the Company File.
What Will Change
If you have previously connected Traffio to MYOB, you will be able to continue to use the integration until your current access token expires.
If your access token expires, or you are connecting MYOB for the first time, you may be prompted to approve the new permissions:
If you do not have an "Administrator" role in MYOB, you will receive an error and will not be able to connect.
What to do if you are not an Administrator
If your MYOB user does not have the "Administrator" role for the Company File you have selected, you will not be able to connect Traffio to MYOB.
You should request that your MYOB user be given the "Administrator" role temporarily by an existing administrator while you connect Traffio.
You will be able to continue to use the MYOB integration while your access token is valid. If you disconnect MYOB from a Traffio Cost Centre, or your access token becomes invalid for any other reason, you will be required to perform these steps again.
How to give Administrator Role Temporarily
If you are an existing MYOB administrator and a team member requests the administration role temporarily in order to continue to use the integration, you can do so by following these steps:
Log into MYOB online: https://app.myob.com/
Navigate to "Users and permissions"
Click on the user that requires the role.
Check the "Administrator" role and click save.
IMPORTANT: Once the user has connected Traffio to MYOB, you should uncheck the "Administrator" role and click save if they normally do not require the role.
