Resources refer to the goods or assets necessary for your business to carry out its operations. Once created, these resources can be used in various ways, such as being incorporated into rate schedules for invoicing purposes, helping to accurately charge clients for the use of these resources in projects or bookings.

Types of Resources

Depending on how you use your resources, there are different types of resources types.

Note: Vehicles, Persons, and Equipment required an allocation when used on the booking board.

  • Vehicle

  • Person

  • Equipment

  • Document

  • Stock

  • Third-party

  • Non-Billable

How to create a resource

  1. Go to Admin on the sidebar

  2. Click the Resources tab

  3. Click +New

  4. Name and choose an abbreviation

  5. Select the resource type

  6. Create

Note: Creating a resource will automatically create a corresponding Item Classification

Item Classification

Item classifications enable you to organise multiple resources into a cohesive group, providing a structured way to manage how resources are booked or invoiced. These classifications instruct the system on how to handle specific groupings of resources during the booking process. For example, you can create a group that includes both a Ute and a Traffic Controller (TC). When this item classification is selected during booking, the system will automatically ensure that both the Ute and the TC are added to the booking, streamlining scheduling and ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated together.

How To Add An Item Classification

  1. Select the Admin on the sidebar

  2. Select the Item Classifications tab

  3. Click +New

  4. Input name and description

  5. Please enter the quantity number of each resource that is part of this item classification (Items classifications MUST have a resource attached or the system will not know how to charge them)

  6. Create

Billing Codes

When creating item classifications you're able to add a bespoke billing code/item reference. This billing code will be added to the description of the generated invoice line item. When resourcing jobs you're also able to search item classifications by the billing code.
