White Card: A safety training certification required for workers on construction sites.
Specific Site Induction/Training: Site-specific training that teaches safety protocols and operational procedures for a particular workplace or client
Company Induction: Introductory training that familiarises new employees with company policies and procedures.
Traffic Controller (TC): Manages traffic flow at work sites for safety.
Spotter: Assists with safety by observing and identifying potential hazards.
Labourer: A general worker who may perform various manual tasks on a site.
These skills help employees meet job requirements and ensure they are work compliant.
Where skills come into play
Skills play a crucial role in managing bookings, particularly when it comes to ensuring that the right qualifications and certifications are in place for specific tasks or roles. By setting skill or induction requirements for a Client, Depot, Project, or Company, you can streamline the process and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
How to Create a Skill
Navigate to People on the sidebar
Click the Skills tab
Click New
Enter skill name
Select a Skill type
Site ticket - A skill that is required onsite
Vehicle skill - Certain kind of license
Select a Specialisation
If this skill makes someone qualified to be a certain specialisation on the booking board
Set a lifetime period
How long the skill is active for
Set notification period
This is the time frame in which the system will notify you of when someone's skill is close to expiring.
Click Save
