How to create PPE and Assets

Getting Started

PPE and Assets allow you to track individual items and manage their allocation and reallocation throughout your operations. By using these features, you can monitor the status and location of each item, ensuring that assets are properly assigned, utilised, and redistributed as needed.


PPE

PPE refers to branded uniforms or personal protective equipment that your company provides to employees, either as a one-time supply or on a recurring basis. When creating PPE, you can assign it a default value and categorise it for easier tracking and management.

How to Create a Piece of PPE

  1. Select PPE/Assets on the sidebar

  2. Navigate to the PPE tab

  3. Click +New

  4. Fill in PPE information, value & PPE category

  5. Create

Monitor PPE Allocation

PPE allocation can be monitored in the 'PPE Allocation' tab at the top of the page and can be filtered by person, depot and item.


How to Allocate PPE

  1. Select PPE/Assets on the sidebar

  2. Navigate to the PPE Allocation tab

  3. Click Allocate PPE for bulk allocation or +New for a singular item allocation

  4. Select the employee from the drop-down

  5. Fill in allocation details

  6. Create

How To Return PPE

  1. Navigate to PPE/Assets on the side bar

  2. Select the PPE Allocation tab

  3. Click +New

  4. Fill in the PPE details and toggle on the Returning Items toggle

  5. Create


Assets

Assets are individual pieces of equipment or tools that are assigned to your staff for their work, typically smaller and more portable. These can include items such as laptops, mobile phones, two-way radios, or other specialised devices essential for daily operations.

How To Create Assets

  1. Select PPE/Assets on the side bar

  2. Choose the Assets tab

  3. Click +New

  4. Fill in Asset details

    Filling in an expiry date will allow the system to notify you when it will expire soon.

  5. Create
