Photo Watermarking automatically adds key information to photos taken within the Traffio mobile app to help with identification and verification. It does not apply to photos selected from the device's gallery.
This includes:
• Date
• Time
• GPS coordinates
• Geographical address
This feature is enabled by default. If you wish to disable it, navigate to "Admin → Traffio Config" in the web app and search for the setting “Show watermark on photos taken in the mobile app.”
There are a few things to note:
If the device is not online, the address may not be available.
The device's location services (GPS) must be enabled, and location permissions must be granted. If these conditions are not met, the user will be notified to enable them. If the user chooses to skip this step, the photo watermark will state that these services/permissions have not been enabled/granted.
We cannot guarantee absolute accuracy, as this relies on GPS which needs to be enabled by the device user and is affected by environmental factors, among other things. When a location is not absolutely accurate, this will be displayed on the watermark.
Please refer to the image below for an example of how this information appears on a photo.
