This integration links Rand McNally's vehicle GPS tracking with Traffio’s booking and scheduling software, giving you complete visibility into your fleet’s operations. You can view real-time location data to help monitor your fleet, ensure accountability, and improve vehicle efficiency.
Additionally, the integration tracks which drivers are assigned to each vehicle, using Traffio data as the main source (when enabled).
Starting the integration
Note: Only Managers and Administrators can enable this integration
Navigate to the Integrations area in the Traffio Sidebar
Select + New to add a new Integration
Select Rand McNally from the list of available integrations and provide a Name for the connection
Press the green Create button to install the Rand McNally integration
You will now be prompted to provide connection details for your Rand McNally Account. Please enter where provided:
The domain name of your Rand McNally instance. Most instances will use randmcnally.io
Rand McNally username
Rand McNally password
Press the green Save button to save your changes and establish a connection with Rand McNally
We recommend creating a new user in Rand McNally specifically for Traffio to connect with.
Rand McNally Connection Options
The Rand McNally integration can be configured with several options.
Sync Vehicle Odometers | When enabled, vehicle odometer readings will be saved against mapped vehicles in Traffio. |
Sync Vehicle Tracker State | Stores the Rand McNally device ID for vehicles against Traffio vehicles, allowing you to filter Traffio vehicles based on the Tracker ID or to filter out vehicles with/without trackers installed. |
Sync Driver Vehicle Assignments | Drivers in Traffio will be assigned to vehicles in Rand McNally based on booking information as recorded in Traffio. Drivers are assigned 45 minutes before the configured time |
Mapping Rand McNally Drivers
Once a connection to Rand McNally has been established, you can map drivers from Rand McNally against employees in Traffio using the Drivers tab of the Rand McNally Connection.
Traffio will suggest driver mappings based on name or email address matching. You’ll need to match each Rand McNally driver with their corresponding employee in Traffio, click Save,
Note: Traffio does not create new driver entries in Rand McNally. For new employees created in Traffio, you will need to create a driver in Rand McNally and then map them in Traffio.
Mapping Rand McNally Vehicles
Once a connection in Rand McNally has been established, you can map vehicles from Rand McNally against vehicles in Traffio using the Vehicles tab of the Rand McNally Connection.
Traffio will suggest mappings against vehicles in Traffio by matching the VIN in Traffio against Rand McNally assets. Manually map vehicles using the dropdowns provided, then click the Save button to accept the mappings.
