How to send messages directly to your staff through the Traffio app

In-App Messaging allows office staff to send messages to workers directly through the Traffio app. Messages appear in the worker's Inbox and push notifications to their phone when receiving a message.


Sending a message

  1. Navigate to Messaging (App) on the left-hand menu, then select the Send tab

  2. Select which depot the message is being sent from

  3. Choose your recipient. You can search for and select individuals or use the filters on the right-hand side to filter your search. Click Select everyone below to add all filtered results at once.

  4. Add a Subject line for your message.

  5. Write your message. You can use formatting tools

    1. **bold** for bold

    2. *italic* for italic

    3. ## Heading for a heading - # being the largest, ##### being the smallest

    4. - Bullet point for a bullet list

    5. > Quote block for a highlighted quote block. (Every paragraph in a quote block needs to have > in front of it)

    6. [Link text](https://url.com) for a hyperlink

  6. Click the Send button in the top right to deliver the message

7. You can find your In-app messaging history in the History Tab of the Messaging (app) function. The History tab gives you access to details of each message, including received/read status.


Receiving a Message (Traffio App)

When a message is sent to a worker, it will appear in the Inbox tab of their Traffio app. An unread badge will show on the inbox icon.

Tapping the message opens the full content, including any formatting, links, and quote blocks, exactly as composed by the sender.

Note: In-App Messaging is separate from SMS messaging. Messages sent via this feature are only visible to workers who have the Traffio app installed and are logged in.
