When creating your rate schedule, you can configure when your breaks are deducted from the shift.

There are two options. The first option is Deducting from the end of the shift, the second is deducting the break from x amount of hours into your shift. You can also choose what days you want these configurations to apply.

What this means

If your shift goes over 8hours or into a night rate, taking your break at the end of the shift you're taking 30mins off the higher charge rate. Choosing for the break to be taken x hour in allows you to deduct it from the first 8 hours of the shift.

To set your Break Configurations you:

  1. Go into the Billing section of Traffio

  2. Choose Rate Schedules

  3. Choose an existing rate schedule

  4. Create a new revision

  5. Decide if you want the break to be taken out at the end of the shift or how many hours into the shift.

  6. Select which days you want these break configurations to apply on

  7. Save

  8. Publish
