Setting Up EBA
The EBA (Enterprise Bargaining Agreement) is essentially a formal set of rules and guidelines that outline how employees are paid. The EBA is where you input your awards, rates, and allowance rules into the system for shifts.
Navigate to Payroll on the side toolbar
Select the EBA tab
Click +New
Enter EBA Name & Abbreviation
Click Create (This will enable all available EBA options to be displayed)
Select EBA type from dropdown (Traditional Award, Modern Award or Flat Rate)
Set Start and Finish Shift Configurations (Determines when during a shift employees begin to be paid)
Enter Timeframe Data (Determines when day shift and night shift begins/ends)
Select Week Breakdown from dropdown (Determines when weekend hours begin/end)
Set Payable Hours as needed
Toggle on or off Payroll Shift Types, Shift Split Options and Alternate Shift Options as needed
Toggle on Payable Hours & Allowances Display Columns as needed
Click Save
Please note that toggles within Payable Hours & Allowances Display Columns marked with an * will cause an additional section to appear at the bottom of the EBA, where you can select the applicable rules for that specific allowance.
