EBA Details

EBA Name

The name of the EBA. There is no character limit for this field.

EBA Abbreviation

This abbreviation is used in pay runs for quick reference, keeping the space usage minimal. The character limit is 8.

EBA Description

Not required, but serves as a reference.

It's helpful to provide a brief explanation of the purpose of the different EBAs you have.

EBA Type

Each EBA type has separate articles to cover topics such as:

  • Start and finish shift configuration

  • Timeframe

  • Week breakdown

  • Payable Hours

  • Payroll Shift Types

  • Split shift options

  • Alternate shift options

  • Payroll category overrides

  • Tax free rate

We currently have 3 EBA types:

Traditional Award

Our most flexible EBA type, offering the widest range of shift types and settings. If you have a complex payroll structure, this could be the best option for your company.

Modern Award

The modern ward is similar to the traditional award but more streamlined, with fewer settings.

Flat Rate

Our simplest EBA type. If you have a straightforward payroll structure where employees are paid the same rate for the entire shift, this EBA type may be the best fit for you.

Payable Hours & Allowances Display Columns

This table lets you customise column names and choose which columns to show or hide in the pay run and earnings rates tabs.

Items marked with * will have additional settings in the 'Configurations for Allowances' section.

You can set items marked with an asterisk * as 'not used.' Other items that are toggled off will hide the column from the pay run and earnings rate tabs but will still be used.

Items marked with a traffic cone require a configuration to be set in the Traffio Configuration Panel.

Configurations for Allowances

There are many allowance options, most are self-explanatory so we only have a few help articles below:
