This guide explains how to invite client contacts to the client portal

Client portal user accounts are linked to individual client contacts within Traffio and are strictly managed by you. Client Portal users are created via email invitations only sent from Traffio on your behalf.


Inviting Client Contacts to the Client Portal

There are two ways to send invites to client contacts:

Sending Manual Invites

  1. Navigate to Clients on the sidebar

  2. Select the Contacts tab

  3. Scroll to the bottom

  4. Click Send Invite to Client Portal

This is an example of the invitation email the Client Contact will receive:

Automated Invites

Automated invitation links can be included in booking, invoice & works docket emails sent to Client Contacts. This feature can only be performed by staff with an Administrator or Manager access level.

  1. Navigate to Admin on the sidebar

  2. Select the Traffio Config tab

  3. Search Client Portal

  4. Select the configuration named 'Include Client Portal invitation links in Client Contact emails'

  5. Select Enabled in the options dropdown menu

  6. Click Save

Note: In order for invitation links to appear in booking confirmation emails, you will need to enable the 'Send a booking link to the site contact(s)' option under 'Site contact messaging' in the Client's settings. Learn how here

Likewise, in order for invitation links to appear in works docket emails, you will need to enable the 'Send a job docket to the site contact(s)' option under 'Site contact messaging' in the Client's settings. Learn how here

This is an example of the invitation link which will appear in booking emails sent to the Client Contact:

Note: After a Client Contact has created a user account and connected with your business in the Client Portal, they will then see a link to 'Log in to the Traffio Client Portal' in these emails.
