Split shifts occur when the night shift runs into the day, and the day shift runs into the night.

Saturday first-rate only applies before 12 noon Saturday first-rate only applies during daylight hours. Don't deduct break on weekend/public holiday.

Hours are calculated as first 8.00 at Night Ordinary 1.5x, followed by the remainder at Night Overtime 2x. No: All night shifts will be considered regular nights. Yes: Shifts in a pay period where five consecutive nights are worked will become five-night shifts. Shifts that are weekdays will be automatically set if there have been 5 consecutive shifts this week, which started after 18:00:00.

If checked, employee team hand allowances will be included in pay runs. You can alter the maximum team size for allowances up to 4.

The team leader is inclusive of the maximum team size. The 'maximum team size' is inclusive of the team leader.

Work through the options to choose who receives a travel allowance for both drivers and non-driver allowances.

If enabled, travel time applies if a person travelled more than the distance specified in the 'Distance threshold (KMs)' field.

Choose if and how first aiders receive allowances.

If you toggle meal allowance on the hour threshold for first and second meal allowance. If there is no second meal allowance, leave at 0.

If you toggle the number of hours required to have been worked in a shift before a meal allowance is granted. If a second meal allowance threshold is reached, then two meal allowances will be granted. The second meal allowance threshold must be greater than the first threshold for it to be valid. A lesser value will be ignored.

​Minimum hours

When minimum hours are in use, the minimum shift calculated for a worker will not be less than this. Extra time is calculated as if the shift was extended. This does take precedence over a four-hour minimum.

Unless the end time has been manually overridden, the manually set end time will be used.

A double-time override will be prompted by any shift which occurs less than 10 hours after a shift that lasted at

least 8 hours. If selected, then the entire shift will be paid at the double-time rate, and no ordinary time will be accrued.

Call back is when an employee is called back after having already gone home for the

day of a shift. If selected, then choose the limit on time and a half pay, then the remainder will be at a double-time rate.

You can create large overrides for team leaders who get a higher pay rate depending on their team's number.

You can have up to 5 team overrides.

Allows you to change the person's pay category if they were a driver of a particular vehicle on a shift.

Limit Ordinary time: Limiting your ordinary overrides means that passed the max ordinary hours specified by you, an employee will receive overtime instead.

Use Saturday ordinary hours: Make your Saturday rates ordinary hour rates. Use Sunday ordinary hours: Make your Sunday rates ordinary hours.

Use Public holiday ordinary hours: Public holidays can also have ordinary hours. A weekly limit impacts all ordinary hours.

Choose which earning items you would like to apply to this cost centre. This will determine what columns you see in pay runs and how Traffio will calculate pay runs. Once you sync your cost centre, these earning items will be linked and matched to your accounting packages rates.
