In Traffio, allowances are always calculated separately from the employee’s hourly salary rate and are treated as an additional value.
On the EBA detail page, scroll down to the 'Rates & Allowances Display Columns' table.
When you enable the "RDO allowance" toggle, an additional settings block will appear at the bottom.
This settings block will allow you to adjust the 'RDO threshold' and 'RDO amount'.
RDO Threshold
The RDO threshold refers to the number of ordinary hours that must be worked before an RDO is generated.
This applies to all ordinary hours, including Day Ordinary hours, Night Ordinary hours, and Saturday Ordinary hours.
Note: If the limit for Ordinary hours is set lower than the RDO threshold, the RDO allowance will not be applied.
RDO Amount
The RDO amount lets you specify how many shifts should contribute to 1 RDO.
This can be set to a negative number if needed.
Example:
Day Ordinary Hrs Limit = 8.00
RDO threshold = 8.00
RDO amount = 0.2
Shift | Day Ordinary Hrs | Day Overtime Hrs | Night Ordinary Hrs | RDO Allowance |
1 | 8.00 | 2.00 | 0.00 | 0.2 |
2 | 4.00 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.0 |
3 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 8.00 | 0.2 |
4 | 8.00 | 2.00 | 1.00 | 0.2 |
5 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 8.00 | 0.2 |
6 | 8.00 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.2 |
TOTAL |
|
|
| 1.0 |
Here, you can see that if you have five shifts with the RDO allowance, they will add up to one full RDO.
Additionally, note that shift 2 is excluded from the calculation because it lasted only 4.00 hours, which does not meet the RDO threshold requirement.
