Allowances in Traffio will always be calculated separately from the employee's salary hour rates. It's an additional value.
Under the EBA detail page, scroll down to the 'Rates & Allowances Display Columns' table.
If you enable the "RDO allowance" toggle, an additional settings block will display at the bottom.
This settings block will allow you to edit the 'RDO threshold' and 'RDO amount'.
RDO Threshold
The RDO threshold is the number of Ordinary hours required to be worked before an RDO is generated.
This relates to all Ordinary hours. For example: Day Ordinary hours, Night Ordinary hours and Saturday Ordinary hours.
Note: If you have made the Ordinary hours limit less than the RDO threshold, the RDO allowance will not be applied.
RDO Amount
The RDO amount allows you to indicate how many shifts should add up to 1 RDO.
This can be a negative number if required.
Example
Day Ordinary Hrs Limit = 8.00
RDO threshold = 8.00
RDO amount = 0.2
Shift | Day Ordinary Hrs | Day Overtime Hrs | Night Ordinary Hrs | RDO Allowance |
1 | 8.00 | 2.00 | 0.00 | 0.2 |
2 | 4.00 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.0 |
3 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 8.00 | 0.2 |
4 | 8.00 | 2.00 | 1.00 | 0.2 |
5 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 8.00 | 0.2 |
6 | 8.00 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.2 |
TOTAL |
|
|
| 1.0 |
You can see here that if you have five shifts that have the RDO allowance, it will equate to one full RDO.
Also, note that shift 2 is not included in the calculation because it only went for 4.00 hours, so it didn't meet the RDO threshold requirement.
